Why I Love Producing Overlooked Sport Horses

When people ask me what kind of horses I enjoy working with, they're often surprised by my answer.

It's rarely the horse that's already doing everything right.

The horses that excite me are the ones with untapped potentail. The horse that's green rather than difficult. The horse that's lost confidence after a setback. The horse thats been underproduced or simply hasnt found the right partnership yet.

Every horse has a story and not every horse has had the opportunity to show what it's truly capable of.

As a showjumper and coach, I love the process of helping these horses develop into confident, rideable sport horses. That means taking the time to build correct foundations, improve strength and balance, develop confidence, and create a willing partnership.

For me, success isn't measured by the height of the fences. It's measured by seeing a horse become happier in their work, more confident in themselves, and able to perform consistently.

Whether that journey leads to a confident Riding Club horse, a competitive 1.1m amateur partner or a horse progressing through the levels, every milestone matters.

If you own a sports horse that hasn't quite reached their potential, I'd love to have a conversation. I offer production, schooling and competition preparation tailored to the individual horse, always with the aim of producing a confident, willing partner.

I believe every horse deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. Those are the journeys I enjoy most, and they're the horses I am passionate about helping.
